Vagator Beach

Vagator beach is located in the northern part of the state and is 23 kilometers from the city of Panaji, the capital of Goa. It lies on the northern edge of Bardez Taluka. One of the closest beaches and among the best known is that of Anjuna. Long known for its trendy nightlife and frequented by junkies, today’s beaches are the changing face of Vagator.

With the new government, rave parties are banned and the music has a volume level which can’t be breached. There is a party every full moon. Every Wednesday, the free market at Anjuna is always busy and is not to be missed. On Saturday evening there is the night market, which is becoming more and more mainstream. It is hoped that the beaches of Goa do not suffer too much from the tourism craze extension.
