Benaulim

Benaulim is a city of 10,163 inhabitants situated in the district of South Goa in the federated territory of Goa. Based on the number of inhabitants, the city falls in Class IV (10,000 to 19,999 people). The city is located at lat 15°15?0? N, long 73°55?12? E, at sea level.

According to the 2001 census, the population of Benaulim totaled 10,163 persons, of whom 4,947 were males and 5,216 were females. Children aged less than or equal to six years totaled 934, of whom 495 were males and 439 were females. Finally, 7,557 people of Benaulim were able, or at least knew how, to read and write; 3,840 were males and 3,717 were females.
