Navelim

Navelim is a city of 11,014 inhabitants situated in the district of South Goa, in the federated territory of Goa. Based on the number of inhabitants, the city falls in Class IV (10,000 to 19,999 people). The city is located at lat 15°15′0 N, long 73°55′ 0 E, at sea level.

According to the 2001 census, the population of Navelim totaled 11,014 persons, of whom 5,743 were males and 5,271 were females. Children aged less than or equal to six years totaled 1,358, of which 695 were males and 663 were females. Finally, those who at least knew how to read and write numbered 8,179, of whom 4,501 males and 3,678 were females.
